UPDATE 8/24/22Was promised a partial refund so adjusted overall rating. Be aware of risks involved when buying this dresser, but take solace that the seller is considerate.ORIGINAL REVIEWPieces 10 and 11 in the instructions (the thin backing panels that slide down into place via channels) arrived too tall. Yes, I finessed them both down into their bottom channels and still they stick up 3 or 4 mm from the top of the dresser. This renders it impossible to secure the top of the dresser down. It is raised from the back side because of the back panels.Assembly in general is impossible without a drill, luckily I had one. Each panel arrives dirty, greasy, or full of foam so be ready to spend just as much time cleaning as assembling- assuming you're luckier than me and your dresser actually goes together. Pursuing a refund.Instructions were terrible. Thankfully I called a friend who has a lot of experience from a previous job. I wish I was a bit more patient for them to return to IKEAThis is not white, more like a cheap white -hubby is extremely handy….took a good 2 hrs to assembleThis little dresser is the right size for our walk-in closet. It was a bugger to put together, taking my husband longer than usual, but reading and re-reading directions helped. It finally came together and seems sturdy enough for his needs.Double check the size- it was smaller than we thought it was going to be. But much sturdier- we do use it for a tv stand for a 32" tv. 1 pre-cut drawer was incorrect and so that drawer will not close completely. This item is a perfect fit in my baby’s closet and has deep drawers perfect for holding various baby items. I would rate 5 stars except it took my husband over two hours to assemble. Seriously, you can be proficient in building items and struggle with this.I love the finished product, would have preferred it to ship with drawers assembled and/or hardware attached. Then would only have to connect the pieces to each other. When I saw the extent of the assembly, the boxes sat for weeks because I dreaded the task. I stacked 2 of these for lingerie in my dressing room (mounting pieces are included to attach the unit to the wall). Would be perfect for nursery as well, but I don't want to assemble another one.Last year we remodeled our kitchen and we used self-assemble cabinets. I tell you this to convey just how experienced we are assembling furniture. I would have said that my husband is an expert furniture assembler. This dresser took nearly five hours to assemble. There were some breaks and distractions, but it was mostly continuous and very slow work. It was a bit insane.I read the reviews and anticipated this. It ended up being a good fit price and size wise for us soI decided to go with it. I would have liked something different, but at this price point it was one of few options. The dresser isn’t the best quality. One wood peg blistered the veneer on the other side of the board when we pounded it in. It’s hidden against a wall and not a big deal. But something to be aware of.
